KINJOYA PU TAU Install Guide
Substrate Preparation:
Substrate must be smooth, solid, clean, dry, and free of dust, oil, laitance, and loose debris;
Substrate moisture content ≤ 9%; no standing water allowed;
Grind sharp corners smooth; fill holes and cracks with specialized polyurethane putty to ensure a level transition;
Apply a dedicated primer on porous concrete substrates to improve adhesion.
Environmental Requirements
Ambient Temperature: 5°C – 35°C
Relative Humidity: 40% - 85%
Do not apply during rain, snow, fog, or when wind speeds exceed Beaufort Scale 5.
Protect the work area from water accumulation during application and curing
Application Procedure
Mixing: Stir the material thoroughly before use. Do not add water, solvents, or thinners
Application Method: Roller, brush, or spray. Apply in 2-3 coats.
Thickness Control: Total dry film thickness 1.2-2.0mm (adjustable based on design)
Lap joints: Minimum 50mm overlap between adjacent areas to ensure a seamless membrane
Curing Protection: Avoid foot traffic, impact, or ponding water during the 7-day full cure period.
Theoretical Coverage Rate
At 1.0mm dry film thickness: 1.5-1.8 kg/m2. Actual coverage varies with substrate roughness and application method.
Storage and Safety
Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated warehouse at 10°C - 30 °C, away form fire and heat sources
Keep containers tightly sealed after opening to prevent moisture ingress, skinning, or premature curing
12 months when stored in original, unopened containers under normal conditions.
