KINJOYA EP PRIMER
Epoxy Primer

KINJOYA EP PRIMER is the base layer of the epoxy floor coating system. Its main function is to penetrate into the concrete substrate, enhance the strength of the substrate, and improve the adhesion between subsequent coatings and the substrate, effectively preventing issues such as floor delamination and peeling. This product is available in solvent-based, solvent-free, and water-based types, which can be selected according to different construction scenarios and environmental protection requirements.

KINJOYA EP PRIMER Application

Suitable for the pre-treatment of floor coating on all types of concrete surfaces in parking lots, warehouses, workshops, factories, commercial venues, etc., especially suitable for sandy and loose concrete floors.

KINJOYA EP PRIMER Key Benefits

  • High Penetration: Can penetrate 3-5mm into the concrete substrate, reacting chemically with the components in the concrete to significantly improve the strength and hardness of sandy and loose surfaces.

  • High Adhesion: Firmly binds with the concrete substrate as well as subsequent intermediate and top coatings. Adhesion tests using pull-off, cross-cut, and circle-cut methods all meet the product technical standards.

  • Environmentally Friendly and Versatile: Water-based primers use water as the dispersing medium, causing no pollution, easy to clean, fireproof, explosion-proof, and non-toxic; solvent-based and solvent-free primers perform excellently in adhesion and sealing.

  • Easy Application: Can be applied by rolling, brushing, or troweling, and the primer can be appropriately thinned for even coating, requiring relatively low skill from construction workers.

KINJOYA EP PRIMER Install Guide

  • Substrate Preparation: Ensure that the concrete substrate is level, clean, dry, and free of oil. Any cracks or depressions should be repaired with mortar to make them smooth. The moisture content of the substrate should be less than 10%, and the pH value should be below 9.

  • Material Mixing: Mix the main agent with the curing agent in the specified ratio, stir thoroughly until uniform, and allow to mature for 20 minutes before use; if spraying is used, the amount of solvent-based primer thinner added should be ≤10%.

  • Coating Application: Use roller coating, brushing, or troweling to evenly apply the primer on the substrate, ensuring consistent thickness and allowing the material to fully wet the concrete substrate.

  • Curing and Drying: After application, allow the primer to dry naturally. Only after it is fully cured (usually 24 hours) should the subsequent intermediate coating be applied.

KINJOYA EP PRIMER Storage

  • Store in a dry, cool, and ventilated warehouse, keeping the temperature at 5-25℃, and avoid exposure to rain or direct sunlight.

  • Buckets should be stored upside down to prevent moisture absorption and deterioration.

  • Keep away from fire and heat sources, in accordance with hazardous material storage standards.

  • Unused materials should be sealed; in humid environments, nitrogen protection is recommended.

  • All information is nominal values at the time of manufacturing, and related performance properties are based on the "as manufactured" condition. Actual values may vary depending on application methods, substrate conditions, environmental factors, and specific product configurations.
